If you feel like sometimes you can’t make it through one two-hour rehearsal, why not try it for 67 years? According to John Marshall, it’s totally doable. He’s been a staple with the Columbus City Band since he was 15.

1 Friday: Pops on the Plaza
Location: Outside the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 5th St., Columbus

Rain location: North High School Auditorium, same time. E-mails will go out around noon Friday if there’s a rain update.
- Loading: 4:45 p.m. from Central Middle School
In seats: 5:30 p.m.
Concert begins: 6 p.m.
- Tear down: Help take equipment to the orchestra. Stand banners and music go back to Ted’s car at CMS.
It’ll be really toasty out. Please remember to bring WATER and a HAT.
2 Sunday: Brownstown Patriotic Program
Location: Outside the Brownstown Courthouse, on US 50 between Walnut and Cross streets

Equipment: Coming from Brownstown High School. Please help unload and load.
- In seats: 1:30 p.m.
Concert begins: 2 p.m.
Bring MUSIC STANDS. And WATER.
What to wear to BOTH concerts:
- Tan summer band shirt (remember to wash it Saturday, Stinkpots!)
- Black pants/skirts and shoes
