Thanks for another great season!

Published by leigh under in the news

Great job, CCBers! The Jackson County Fair always is one of our best crowds, and it didn’t disappoint. It was a wonderful finale to another season of great performances.

Enjoy your month off, and we’ll see you when rehearsals resume Aug. 30. Same time, same station.

Jackson County Fair

Published by leigh under concerts

Monday is our final rehearsal of the season, and Tuesday is our final concert at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Brownstown — always one of our most enthusiastic crowds.

Traffic gets heavy and parking gets distant, so be sure to allow extra travel time.

Load at CMS: 5:15 p.m., on the road by 5:30 p.m.
In seats: 6:30 p.m.
Downbeat: 7 p.m.

Summer fashions apply:

Bottoms: Black pants/skirts
Tops: Tan band polo shirts

Directions: From Seymour, take U.S. 50 west into Brownstown. Go to the second stoplight and turn left. Take last parking entrance at the south corner of fairgrounds. Park as directed. Our pavilion is by the tractor displays.

Click the map below to enlarge a view of the fairgrounds.

… So then what happens?

Rehearsal resumes same time, same station Monday, Aug. 30.

It’s with great sadness I bring you news of the passing of a true Columbus City Band legend. John Marshall, a 68-year CCB member, passed away Friday evening. He was 83.

John Marshall joined CCB when he was 15 years old.

[Updated 7/11] The showing is 4-7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m. until the service — all at Myers-Reed Dignity Memorial Chapel, 3729 E. 25th St., Columbus. It’s one street west of Taylor Road.
