Details for 2021 Bartholomew County Fair concert

We are excited to be preparing for our first concert back after a 15-month hiatus!

Our gig at the Bartholomew County Fair is Monday, June 28, at the fairgrounds south of Columbus on State Road 11.

We’ll be in the David Boll Theater, attached to the 4-H Community Building on the southwest end of the fairgrounds. It’s under a roof and in the shade, but we strongly recommend bringing or purchasing some water.

As always, everyone is cordially invited to pretty please help load/unload at Central Middle School and at the concert site.

Where to be when

Load: 5:30 p.m. at CMS.
In seats: 6:30 p.m.
Downbeat: 7 p.m.
Reload and unload back at CMS.

Bonus: If you or a loved one still needs a COVID-19 vaccination shot, you can get one before the concert. The Bartholomew County Health Department and Windrose Mobile Clinic will have a clinic from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds Sheriff’s Tent. Call (317) 680-9901 to register, or walk-ins are welcome.

Concert attire: Summer casual

Band polo shirt or shirt of similar color.
Black pants/shorts/skirts and shoes.

Parking

Parking passes will be handed out at rehearsal on Monday, June 21. They get you in free to the lot close to the theater area. These are for band members only, absolutely NONTRANSFERABLE. If you don’t have one, show up for loading at CMS and see if you can share a ride.

To get to these luxury parking spots: If heading to the fairgrounds on State Road 11, take the south entrance on County Road 200 South, the turn right (north) onto Southside Drive (right before Southside Elementary School). Present your pass at the south gate, the one closest to the performing area.

Finding us at the fairgrounds

Here is a pdf map of the fairgrounds. We’re in the David Boll Theater, labeled “L” on the lower left side. The luxury parking spots are just to the left of the theater, off the map.
