The Columbus Indiana Childrens’ Choir is a cooperative effort between the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and the Indianapolis Childrens’ Choir. The choir is an auditioned group of children in grades 3 through 8 from Bartholomew and surrounding counties.

Thomas Day won a competition to compose a piece to honor the memory of Valeria Pemberton, who was a long-time member of the Columbus City Band. A junior at Butler University, Thomas studies music education and composition and plays euphonium in the Butler’s wind ensemble.

Michael Ellis, professionally known a Prolifik, is a music artist and storyteller from Cincinnati. His musical career includes a decade of touring as a DJ, collaborating with influential artists G-Eazy, Rockie Fresh, Casey Veggies, Devin Miles, SMP and more, forming and fronting the “Dfyance” band. He also works in audio engineering, music production and artist development.
