Patriotic Program on the Square
Sunday’s concert will be on the courthouse square in Brownstown, on U.S. 50 between Walnut and Cross streets.
We have a small, trusty band of movers acquiring equipment from Brownstown H.S. (Thank you, Richard Branaman!) So we need the rest of you to appear with your own music stands at these appointed times:
Email alert: 11:30 a.m. – I’ll send an email about weather conditions and confirm play or stay
In seats: 1:30 p.m.
Concert begins: 2 p.m.
Party at Dick’s: Afterward – see details below the map
Concert attire:
Tan summer band shirt
Black pants/skirts and shoes
And remember: BRING A MUSIC STAND.
In fact, if you have an extra one, toss it in your trunk just in case it comes in handy for someone else in need.

After-party at Dick’s
The CCB and all roadies are invited to Dick Parman’s house immediately after the concert. Please bring a lawn chair.
Menu: Hotdogs and fixins.
Drinks: Miller Lite, Coors (regular), three types of home-brewed beer (knock-offs of Dogfish Head India Pale Ale 60, Fat Tire and Nutcase Brown), Coke, Diet Coke, Mountain Dew, Sunkist Orange and Diet Sunkist Orange. If you wish something different, bring it.
After we eat, we’re going to play whiffle ball. If you don’t get a grass stain on your pants, you’re no fun.
Directions to Dick’s:
Continue west on U.S. 50 (the highway from Seymour to Brownstown). 50 will turn right at the other stoplight in Brownstown. Continue up the hill, passing JayC grocery on left, to the flashing yellow caution light. At this caution light (Farm Bureau Co-op gas station on corner), turn left on State Road 135. Go down the hill less than 1/4 mile and you will see a Dollar General store on right. About two car lengths past where you would have turned right into Dollar General is his driveway. The first portion of the driveway is concrete and is shared with his neighbor. Continue to the blacktop portion to his house. Park anywhere on the grass.
